Modelul Nexus 6P, a fost dezvoltat de Google în parteneriat cu producătorul chinez Huawei. Smartphone-ul are carcasa realizată din aluminiu anodizat, dispune de ecran AMOLED cu doagonala de 5,7 inci (rezoluţie 2K, densitate 518 ppi), difuzoare stereo frontale, procesor octa-core Snapdragon 810, 3 GB memorie RAM, cameră de 12,3 MP (capabilă să înregistreze la calitate 4K), plus frontală de 8 MP şi baterie de 3.450 mAh.
Există trei versiuni în funcţie de capacitatea de stocare: 32 GB, 64 GB şi 128 GB. Nexus P dispune de senzor pentru amprentă, aşezat puţin ciudat, pe partea din spate, şi de noul port reversibil USB-Type C. Mai mult, terminalul are tehnologie de încărcare rapidă a bateriei: 10 minute ţinut la priză asigură o durată de viaţă a bateriei de până la 7 ore. Smartphone-ul nu dispune de tehnologie de încărcare wireless şi nici de slot pentru card micro-SD.
